2004 - The ball raised over £40,000 in aid of The TreeHouse Trust

Intellect's ICT Industry Charity Ball was held on 8 July 2004 in a marquee in the grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company in City Road. Over 400 IT professionals, partners, clients and guests attended the fundraising event which raised £40,400 for The TreeHouse Trust, an educational charity which undertakes exceptional work with children with autism.

The money raised from the ICT Industry Charity Ball will fund a pilot project, using information technology to record and analyse the work undertaken with each child, enabling staff to spend more time with the children and ensuring that the programmes for each child can be tailored more effectively to their specific individual needs.

The Ball has now become a recognised social event in the ICT calendar and with sponsors such as IBM, Microsoft, Intel, Anite, MessageLabs, Cable & Wireless, Butler Group, Banner Corporation and Computer Weekly, the Ball is set to go from strength to strength.
