A Night at the Movies - Take II

After the tragic events of 7 July resulted in the postponement of the ball we are now please to announce that the 2005 ICT Charity Ball will now take place at the:

Hammersmith Palais  on Tuesday 4 October 2005

The Intellect ICT Industry Charity Ball, now in its 7th year, is the highlight of the ICT calendar for entertaining clients, partners and staff. Organised by Intellect, the IT, telecommunications and electronics industry trade association, this annual event is supported by the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and Computer Weekly, and sponsored by Atos Origin, EDS, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Oki Systems UK, SX3 and Veritas. It will provide the funds needed to develop an innovative mobile data collection and analysis project for the The Starlight Children's Foundation. The Foundation provides wishes and hospital entertainment for seriously ill children. Since its inauguration in 2000 the Ball has raised in excess of £140,000 for various charities. Last year our guests raised £40,000.

The theme for this year’s glittering evening is ‘A Night at the Movies’ and after the events of 7 July the Committee felt that it was essential that we go for "Take II." We could not let the event be cancelled, that would be giving in. So, with the help of our sponsors and suppliers, we are going ahead with the event at a new venue.

We anticipate 500 guests. Everything we promised you before will be there with celebrities, cocktails, a sumptuous dinner, dancing, fairground rides, entertainers and more. In short it is an evening you and your guests will never forget!

Whether catching up with industry colleagues or entertaining clients, Intellect’s ICT Charity Ball has become one of the industry’s hospitality highlights of the summer season. We would like to say a very big thank you because, to date, no one has cancelled their tickets. The Committee are determined to make this bigger and better than we had planned for July. By taking a table at this fundraising event you can raise both brand awareness and the business profile of your company. We still some some tables left so, if you haven't already done so,  we would encourage you to book your place as soon as possible. So put Tuesday 4 October in your diary and start inviting your guests and prepare to have fun, knowing that after the music has faded away, you will have contributed to improving the lives of a number of exceptional children.

The Hammersmith Palais is at 230 Shepherds Bush Road, London, London W6 7NL. The event will start with a champagne reception at 19:30 and you will be call through to dinner at 20:00. Carriages at 01:00
